Education
The Education Department is designed to promote a commitment to lifelong learning and literacy awareness by encouraging members and others to support educational opportunities. The Education Department designed the “Bag A Book” Literacy Program for a local Prince William County Elementary School. They support local public schools and adult education in a variety of ways.
We're starting the West Gate Elementary Bag-A-Book program mid-January and running it through mid-May 2012. Volunteers are needed for this program which involves less than two hours of your time a week. Those who help may pick and choose the weeks they would like to volunteer. Our third graders are eager to start the program! Contact Beth Mears to sign up at arbemears@hotmail.com.
