A Message from Our President - Stephanie Sturges
Greetings from the Dominion Woman’s Club! My name is Stephanie Sturges and I am the 2009-2010, DWC President. My administration theme, DWC Bridging Gaps in the Community, focuses on the grassroots foundation of our organization. Many talented women have built bridges from a local need to a local solution, creating well thought out programs to serve our community, or using established ones to get the job done.
When I agreed to take on the Secretarial position during our founding administration, I never imagined three years later I would serve as President. I did get to squeeze in one year as 1st Vice President! It is an extreme honor, and the challenge is welcome.
If I could pass on any recommendation to a new member, it would be to jump in! Don’t be afraid. Follow your passion, or try something new. We offer a variety of programs, and if we don’t, we welcome you to create one. That is how we started in 2007. One woman’s idea. That is all it takes. You can make a difference, and you already have, just by joining our group of outstanding women. Without bridges, the best roads lead nowhere...
A Message from Our 1st Vice President - Sandy Malinowski
As your 1st Vice President, I want to personally welcome you to the Dominion Woman's Club! I am thrilled to be your Program Chairperson, responsible for directing and guiding the various departments and committees that make up our exciting and dynamic club. The best way to become involved and meet some of our dedicated club women is not just to attend our monthly club meetings, or our annual fundraisers, or our social events - it is to attend some of our committee meetings! There you will see the "heart" of our organization. There you can bring your creativity, your contacts, your unique skills, your passion, and your abilities to the service of your club and community. Explore this binder and our website for further information on our club committees and projects or call me for further information. Then check our club calendar to see when and where the committees meet. Then make plans to join us! We look forward to working with you!
